Lieve allemaal, 

Op het moment ben ik bij Luca School of Arts druk bezig met de voorbereidingen van mijn bachelor film die in het voorjaar van 2025 geschoten zal worden.

Om dit project tot een mooi eindresultaat te brengen heb ik jullie hulp hard nodig! 

Het maken van een kortfilm is namelijk alles behalve goedkoop...Voor 15 min. film van de gewenste kwaliteit lopen de kosten flink op. Denk aan vervoer, materiaal, catering, distributie en de betaling van de crew.

jullie hulp maakt hier het verschil! 

Elke bijdrage, hoe klein ook, is welkom. En voor de vrijgevigen onder jullie heb ik een paar leuke tegenprestaties bedacht, zodat jullie er ook iets voor terugkrijgen.

Over het project

Voor mijn bachelorfilm heb ik gekozen om een portret te maken rondom de jongeren die ik afgelopen zomer heb leren kennen tijdens mijn lessen aan een Italiaanse taalschool.

De documentaire speelt zich af in Pisa, Italië. Hier volgen we een groepje recent geïmmigreerde jongeren gedurende hun nachtelijke treinritten heen en terug naar Florence. Langzamerhand verkennen we ieders eigen wereld binnen deze microkosmos, allen op hun eigen zoektocht naar connectie en een nieuw gevoel van ‘thuis’.  

Waar gaat het geld heen?

Het gedoneerde geld gaat rechtstreeks naar de essentiële kosten van de productie. Denk aan vervoer, zoals treinkaartjes en vliegtickets om op locatie in Pisa, Italië te kunnen filmen. Ook moet er onderdak geregeld worden voor de crew, en natuurlijk een goede catering.

Daarnaast zijn professionele filmapparatuur en technici onmisbaar om de film de kwaliteit te geven die hij verdient. In de postproductie werken editors, color graders en geluidsspecialisten aan de afwerking, zodat het eindresultaat een visueel en auditief optimaal worden.

Tot slot willen we de film niet laten verstoffen op een harde schijf, maar delen met de wereld. Daarom zou het geld ook worden gebruikt voor festivalinzendingen, zodat dit verhaal een zo groot mogelijk publiek bereikt.

About the Project

For my bachelor film, I have chosen to create a portrait of the young people I met last summer during my time at an Italian language school.

The documentary takes place in Pisa, Italy. Here, we follow a group of recently immigrated young people on their nightly train journeys to and from Florence. As the story unfolds, we explore each individual's personal world within this microcosm, all searching for connection and a new sense of “home.”

Where Will the Money Go?

Every donation goes directly toward the essential production costs. This includes transportation, such as train tickets and flights to shoot on location in Pisa, Italy. We also need to arrange accommodation for the crew and, of course, provide proper catering.

Additionally, professional film equipment and skilled technicians are crucial to achieving the film’s high-quality standards. In post-production, editors, color graders, and sound designers will refine the final cut, ensuring a visually and sonically polished result.

Finally, we don’t want this film to collect dust on a hard drive—we want to share it with the world! That’s why part of the budget will be used for festival submissions, giving this story the audience it deserves.
